Will produce beautiful flowers
Also called the pansy orchid
Great windowsill plant
Blooming size but NOT in flower now
This one is Miltoniopsis Lila Fearneyhough, a blooming size orchid, likely to flower this spring or early summer. It will put out beautiful flowers with various shades of red, ranging to a dark dark red that is almost black. The flowers are stunningly beautiful. And fragrant at certain times of day.
The breeding on this mericlone is Miltoniopsis Raspberry Swirl x Miltoniopsis Pearl Ono. These orchids are in 4-inch pots and they tend to be spring and fall bloomers. They currently stand 12 to 14 inches high or more measured from the bottom of the pot. We have a bunch of these and we'll pick out a nice one for you. We always ship the largest.
Miltoniopsis orchids are cool growers. Often called "The Pansy Orchid," many of them have a wonderful fresh fragrance. For home and hobby growers, we recommend them as a house plant. Just give them moderate indirect light, water thoroughly three times a week, fertilize weakly every two weeks. Provide a temperature range of 60 to 75 degrees or so. These do very well under lights.
These are potted in sphagnum moss, and we recommend repotting after the last flower fades away. Do NOT repot immediately on arrival. Wait until after the next blooming.
