In SPIKE now
This one is Miltoniopsis Andrea West, a stunningly beautiful yellow orchid, and it's in spike now.
The yellow flowers often have a soft blush of pink. The flowers are exquisite, and sometimes, but not always, are fragrant in the middle of the day.
The breeding on this mericlone is Miltoniopsis Capitola x
Miltoniopsis Doctor Ruth Ono. We expect you'll see flowers in 3 to 4 weeks.
These orchids are in 3.5-inch pots and they tend to be spring and fall bloomers. They are in spike now. They currently stand 12 to 14 inches high measured from the bottom of the pot.
We have a bunch of these and we'll pick out a nice one for you. We always ship the largest.
Miltoniopsis orchids are cool growers. Often called "The Pansy Orchid," many of them have a wonderful fresh fragrance. For home and hobby growers, we recommend them as a house plant. Just give them moderate indirect light, water thoroughly three times a week, fertilize weakly every two weeks. Provide a temperature range of 60 to 75 degrees or so. These do very well under lights.
