In spike, Burrageara Francine 'Roseglow'
This one is relatively new, and the flowers are are an eye-popping, hot lava red with a little yellow in the center. . It's in the intergeneric Oncidium family. The spike should produce fifteen or more flowers on the first blooming and should last 5 to 7 weeks. The older flowers will fade to a lovely pink. These are mericlones so all the flowers should be nearly identical. They are in 2" pots and ready to be moved up when they finish blooming. As they grow larger these will put on a spectacular show.
The breeding is a mix of orchid genera including Cochlioda, Miltonia, Odontoglossum and Oncidium. These can be grown on the cool side, but should do well in the home or in a greenhouse.
Medium light. Water when almost dry.
